Round caps for tubes and rods

Round caps for tubes and rods protect the open ends of round profiles. They prevent dirt, damage during handling and injuries from sharp edges on both metal and plastic tubes and rods.

Applications

Caps for tubes and rods are fitted when a profile needs protection during storage, transport or assembly, or as temporary protection against dirt and moisture entering a hollow profile. They also help prevent injuries from exposed edges.

Size range

We manufacture caps with an internal diameter from 2 to 110 mm, covering most commonly used tubes and rods. Production tolerances are ±0.3 mm for wall thickness and ±1 mm for length, so the cap holds securely without adhesive.

Material properties and durability

The material is PVC Shore A 65, resistant to UV light, acids, alkalis and salts. The cap withstands abrasion and weather, stays flexible and does not crack, even after repeated fitting and removal.

Available colours and finishes

Caps are available in black RAL 9017, red RAL 3020, yellow RAL 1023, grey RAL 7042, blue RAL 5017, white RAL 9016 and green RAL 6024. The coarse rubber-like material is available only in black RAL 7016.

How to choose the right cap size

The outside diameter of the tube or rod is decisive: the cap fits over the part and is held in place by the material’s flexibility. Measure the diameter at the end of the profile with a calliper. If you are unsure, we can send you a free sample to test on your part.

What to know before choosing a round cap

We normally manufacture caps with an internal diameter of 2–110 mm. The most common sizes are in stock; we make others to order.
The inside diameter of the cap must match the outside diameter of the tube or rod it protects so that it fits securely.
Yes. Flexible PVC adapts to the profile surface and stays in place without glue or other fastening.
Yes. It acts as a masking part that keeps paint out of the tube opening and can be removed easily afterwards.
