Understanding rectangular profiles

Rectangular hollow profiles have sides of different lengths. They are used where a load-bearing part must resist bending in one direction, such as machine frames, railings, conveyors and steel buildings.

VINYL-FLEX® rectangular caps come in seven sizes from 30×50 to 56×90 mm. We also offer two 40×20 mm versions with different insertion depths for different profile wall thicknesses, helping ensure a secure fit.

Industrial use and durability

In factories, rectangular profile caps may face vibration, shocks, lubricants and chemicals. VINYL-FLEX® material resists common industrial lubricants and chemicals, so the caps perform on production lines, conveyors and agricultural machines.

For severe vibration, we recommend a drop of contact adhesive. Flexible PVC grips by itself, while adhesive adds security in extreme conditions.

Two 40×20 mm versions: how to choose

The 40×20 mm profile is common in industry and construction. Different profile wall thicknesses call for two cap versions: 40×20-20-55 for a standard wall and 40×20-20-60 for a thicker wall. Tell us the wall thickness when ordering and we will recommend the right version.

Yes. The material resists UV, moisture and temperature changes, making the caps suitable outdoors.
Flexible PVC adapts to the hollow profile and holds by friction. For severe vibration, we recommend securing the cap with a drop of adhesive.
