Pad printing — single-colour printing on VINYL-FLEX® caps

Permanent marking of a protective cap with a logo, technical specification or safety symbol calls for the right printing process. Curved flexible PVC surfaces are unsuitable for flat screen printing, so VINYL-FLEX® offers single-colour pad printing. A flexible silicone pad transfers the design from a printing plate to the shaped surface. The result is sharp printing that resists abrasion and chemicals, with a maximum area of 70 × 70 mm. How pad printing works on PVC caps

Pad printing transfers a design from an etched plate. Ink fills the etched areas, excess ink is removed, and a flexible silicone pad picks up the design and transfers it precisely onto the cap. The cycle takes a fraction of a second and can be automated for serial production.

The pad’s flexibility lets it follow cylindrical, oval and slightly irregular VINYL-FLEX®caps. Printing stays sharp and accurate even on curved surfaces. If needed, we make a fixture to hold the cap securely during printing.

The design is adapted to the cap’s diameter and overall size for the best appearance and function.
We normally offer single-colour pad printing. High-contrast designs work best on flexible PVC, such as a white logo on a black cap or black text on a yellow cap.
No. The plate is made and paid for once (about CZK 800), for the first order or when the design changes. Repeat orders of the same print incur only the printing charge.
Vector files are ideal: PDF with outlined text, Adobe Illustrator (.ai) or EPS. Send artwork to poplastovani@email.cz. We can advise on preparing it if needed.
Yes. Inks for pad printing on PVC are formulated for industrial use and resist abrasion, material flexing and contact with common industrial fluids. Exact resistance depends on the ink and conditions of use.
It depends on the cap’s diameter and shape. Very small caps have limited print area. Tell us the cap type and we will assess feasibility and recommend a suitable design size.
