Plastic coating of tools and handles – VINYL-FLEX®
Uncoated metal tool grips have low friction and poor thermal comfort, increasing hand fatigue during prolonged use. Our flexible PVC plastisol dip coating improves grip, helps dampen vibration and protects operators during intensive work. We coat the handles of pliers, scissors, spanners, control levers and other tools in colours that make sets easy to identify. The coating resists abrasion and common workshop substances.
Applications — tool handles, pliers, scissors and spanners
Uncoated metal tool grips can be hard to hold securely and tiring during intensive use. Dip coating applies plastisol to the shape of handles on pliers, spanners, scissors, control levers and custom hand tools. The result is a functional surface with defined friction, thermal insulation and protection for the metal core.
Benefits of coated handles
The main benefit is grip comfort — an ergonomic, non-slip surface makes the tool secure to hold. The plastic layer also provides insulation from the cold metal. You can also use colour codingto identify tools within a set or distinguish equipment for different work areas.
Coating durability
The flexible PVC (plastisol) coating from VINYL-FLEX® offers high abrasion resistance in everyday manual use. The material stays stable and protects the metal core against common workshop chemicals and dirt.
