Why furniture caps matter

Furniture makers know that small details affect the quality of the whole piece. An unfinished metal profile looks incomplete, can scratch floors or injure users, and detracts from careful workmanship.

VINYL-FLEX® flat caps solve all three problems. Flexible PVC rests gently on the floor, covers sharp edges and finishes the profile visually. They slip on in seconds and stay in place without glue during everyday use.

Material and finish

The caps are made of flexible VINYL-FLEX® PVC, combining strength with the flexibility needed for a secure fit. They are gentle on laminate, vinyl, wood and tile floors even when furniture is moved repeatedly.

Matt and gloss finishes are available. White, black, grey and brown are standard; other colours can be agreed for custom batches. The caps protect the furniture while matching its design.

Fitting tips

No tools or glue are needed: simply push the cap onto the profile. The flexible material holds it securely. If the profile is at the upper end of the size tolerance, warm the cap slightly in water before fitting so it expands a little.

For furniture exposed to heavy movement or vibration, such as industrial tables or mobile shelving, a drop of contact adhesive inside the cap can add security.

Outdoor and garden furniture

VINYL-FLEX® material resists UV, moisture and temperature changes from frost to summer heat. It suits aluminium garden furniture, metal benches, tables and loungers. Unlike lower-grade plastics, it will not yellow or become brittle after a season outside.
